Woodland Bagatelle
.

1950's woodland bagatelle board with illustrations so wonderful that I decided to work in conjunction with them as opposed to redesigning the whole board.
My favourite part of the illustration is the weirdly resentful-looking ball - I just couldn't bring myself to hide that character beneath the paint. I was all too happy to set the scene and be at the helm of creating the right atmosphere.
The shooting mechanism works really well. If I were to hang this, I'd do so with the marbles balanced in-situ.
