We’re working to create fantastically impersonal ‘send me the price’ functionality on paintings that will automate a price response, allowing prospective collectors the privacy and time to think about a price without having to get in touch personally.
I understand that writing an email to a person to query a price can be a little bit uncomfortable, so I’m working to resolve that.
There are several reasons for canvas prices not being on the site, the main one being that I want people to look at the art first. I don’t want prices to draw more attention than the painting itself, which often took several weeks to complete and much longer in the pre-work idea forming stages. I’d prefer not to reduce the work or indeed the idea to a mere number.
Many collectors have also expressed the preference to have the price they paid for work to remain private, which I respect. For that reason the price of previously sold pieces will not be advertised.
