Amber fish intaglio and and pearl necklace

A fish in amber. I started carving these amber cabs in February 😱. I agonised over choosing the right gemstone beads and then decided to put the project on the back burner so I could complete a pearl stringing course. Done and done.

Strung onto a necklace of pearls with a single sodalite accent.

Over time, gold plating will wear depending on how much it is worn. Avoid exposing your gold vermeil jewellery to perfumes and cosmetics, as well as wearing your jewellery in the shower or bed. Friction from bed sheets and cleaning can wear down the plate.
