Fresh From the Studio

A curated selection of newly released pieces. All are handmade, small-batch or one-of-a-kind. These are the most recent additions to the jewellery collection: personal, sometimes experimental, and shaped by process as much as by design.

Each one begins as a loose sketch and is then hand-carved in wax by Candice. Designs are then cast in sterling silver using traditional lost wax techniques. Some are later finished in gold vermeil, where a 3-micron-thick coating of yellow gold is applied over sterling silver. 

Increasingly, her jewellery includes intaglio and cameo carvings. These glypics are hand-cut into the surface of gemstones

What you see here is fresh from the bench. Her latest project is wax carving in direct response to the nuances of freshwater pearls.
