Garnet Rat Belly intaglio necklace

A nervy project begets a panic rat; I have only have one garnet of this size and shape in my collection of stones, so I was anxious to make it work. What better to stick inside the belly of a beast than an anxious rat?

 The setting, beastie in nature, was carved in wax and cast in 925 sterling silver.

This piece is completely one-of-a-kind.
