Jade & Carnelian necklace with Sterling skeleton coin

I really enjoy the irregularities of one-off beaded gemstone necklaces. This one is a cocktail of gemstones and metals:

These natural green cylinders of jade (4mm wide) have been interspersed with 2mm carnelian rounds that cover the spectrum of fire-tones. At the centre is a roman coin style pendant featuring a skeleton engraved into the surface. 

Measuring 18mm x 18mm, I carved the pendant in wax and had it cast in 925 sterling silver. It is a complete one-a-kind.

Finished with sterling silver findings.
