Ombre tourmaline beaded necklace

I seem to be on a Tourmaline jaunt at the moment. It happens: I have a tendency to buy up every form of amazonite too.

These strands of tourmaline boast a vast spectrum of hues that I have arranged in colour for an ombre effect. The lesser-praised blues have been arranged in the middle, where you'll see them most often.

Available in two tones:

• with sterling silver findings on vermillion thread, 55cm
• with gold vermeil findings on rose thread, 53.5cm

My most-worn necklace is the hand-knotted garnet one that I strung as a testing bed/sample for my first foray into gemstone necklaces. I wear it with a charm connector and whatever new or old charm I am clinging to that month.

Over time, all of the garnet and lapis necklaces sold, and I wanted to revisit them in new colourways, with new stones.

Over time, gold plating will wear depending on how much it is worn. Avoid exposing your gold vermeil jewellery to perfumes and cosmetics, as well as wearing your jewellery in the shower or bed. Friction from bed sheets and cleaning can wear down the plate.
