Incredible, this chick is still in good working order. With articulated wings and a hollow dot of an eye, this toy has run across my path twice before, and on both occasions, I found it so charming that I couldn't believe my luck in finding it.

In 8 years of doing this, I have found a total of 3 and bought every one. The're something about them that feels like holding an egg- robust, with perfect heft for its small form, and yet so delicate because you get the sense that given the chance, it could lead a full life.
