For as long as I've been working with silver, I've been looking for an opaque red gemstone, but did not want to use coral for ethical reasons.

I put the idea to bed for years until recently, when I came across this red Burmese jade! I only bought a single strand because I was waiting to be disappointed when they arrived in the post, but they're absolutely gorgeous and polished to such a high shine.
