A tomato nose the size of a pin-head is really my favourite part of this whole project;

A 16mm x 16mm portrait in oil paint set behind a protective screen of rock clear quartz (or rock crystal) has been set in sterling silver.

Over time, gold plating will wear depending on how much it is worn. Avoid exposing your gold vermeil jewellery to perfumes and cosmetics, as well as wearing your jewellery in the shower or bed. Friction from bed sheets and cleaning can wear down the plate.
