I finally got one! Though from France, but I can't be sure where it started life, such is the nature of collecting these rare, gorgeous cinemas. I got so desperate for one that a few years ago I paid over the odds for some antique cartoon strip, sans zoetrope. My thinking was that if I can't have the full experience, I could buy someone else's memory of it.

This one comes with an audience and 12 cartoon strips that animate when given it a twist.
