Wolf bandit cameo necklace

A skull cameo, approximately 0.7 x 0.5 cm carved into an oval banded chalcedony cabochon is being carried off by a bipedal wolf.
The chalcedony is a rust-red and white stone and was the first I've had that included three bands: a thick red base, a slab of white on top, and a barely-there skim of rusty red over the top. Most of this was lost to the carving process, but I pointedly left evidence of it on the forehead- like a sunburn.
If there's an interesting element to a stone, I'd rather incorporate it into the design.
I didn't realise it at the time, but it has very strong echoes of an earlier painting of mine.
As with my wax work, all stone carving is done by me in my Newcastle upon Tyne studio in the UK. I use diamond-coated discs and burrs, and the process gives me the most colourful headache.
This piece is completely one-of-a-kind.
