Animal motif jewellery
In Candice Tripp’s jewellery, animals are symbols, not specimens. Each one begins at the workbench, first sculpted in wax, then cast in sterling silver, and sometimes finished in gold vermeil. Some are married with a gem intaglio, where an image is carved directly into the surface of stone, or subtly darkened with the quiet shadow of oxidation.
Bat earrings and dangling rats offer unexpected silhouettes. A hanging horse charm carries tension and unanswered questions. A silver fox pauses mid-step. A squirrel is etched into rock crystal like a half-remembered fable. These are pieces shaped more by folklore and feeling than by field guides.
Each is a talking point, something that invites a second glance and a quiet enquiry of “Is that a rat on your neck?” all while leaving space for the wearer to bring their own meaning.
Crafted in the UK, this is animal motif jewellery: handmade, symbolic, and quietly unsettling.
